Best praise vs top criticism for ergoCentric tCentric Hybrid
“You are not the problem. The chair is the problem. Every person’s body is unique. A chair that feels comfy and luxurious for one person can cause another person to have excruciating pain. It’s been 3 years. Stop letting this chair make you and your body miserable. Pelvic/sacral support is the foundation of good support when sitting in an office chair. The leap has a big hole at the bottom of the backrest where the pelvic/sacral support should be. That’s probably why you don’t feel supported. There are a few posts in this sub that talk about it. * An expert’s explanation of why pelvic/sacral support is the foundation of sitting. It should hold your body up. You should not have to engage and release random muscles to hold yourself up. Sitting isn’t a workout. He also explains how to sit: https://youtu.be/TOd_e5iZ9tM * An expert’s explanation of how to set up your desk, chair, and monitor: https://youtu.be/o3Qi3CIhxM0 * An expert’s guide to all the most important features a good ergonomic chair should have. He talks about the height adjustable backrest around minute 5:20 in this video: https://youtu.be/HFQ1LZmpfUM Chairs with sacral/pelvic support: * [Anthros Chair](https://www.anthros.com/gaming) - the best, most cushioned, comfy pelvic support with a big comfy seat. They are having a sale right now. 12 year warranty and 30 days to try. * Lifeform from Relax the Back - the entire backrest moves up and down so you can place it exactly where you feel the most supported. You can also do this with the Ergocentric Aircentric, sCentric, and tCentric; Neutral Posture chairs; and OM Seating chairs (Office Master). * Herman Miller Mirra 2 - mild non-adjustable sacral support. Since you want comfort and multiple seating positions, a mesh chair is not a match. * Haworth Zody - it has a fixed sacral support like the Mirra but the pressure can be increased by sliding the separate lumbar support down over the sacral support. Zody has a big seat for varying sitting positions. Order it with forward tilt and lumbar.”
“I wouldn't recommend either of those models. The Fern because its seat isn't long enough, and the Gesture because its lumbar support is rather weak. I recommend the ergoCentric tCentric Hybrid Upholstered with Synchro Glide mechanism, extra long seat, and swivel & lateral adjustable arms. It has a tall height-adjustable backrest with adjustable lumbar support tension, and its armrests can adjust very close together. https://us-store.ergocentric.com/products/tcentric-hybrid-with-upholstered-backrest-and-upholstered-seat-midnight-black”
