“I've never tried the thin nylon socks, but Darn Tough ski socks are the best invention since sliced bread. I wear them all the time in the winter, skiing or not. They're well worth the money. Also, good luck with your new boots! It's amazing how much easier it gets to ski when you move to the right boot. (You can imagine how I know.)”
“I struggle with perpetually cold feet, especially when skiing. Switching to compression ski socks has actually helped me, likely because poor circulation was really feeding my issue. Smartwool have at least one compression ski sock offering. My feet stay noticeably warmer with those than my regular smartwool or darn tough ski socks, with everything else (boots, terrain, temp etc) staying the same. I also get a benefit from the disposable toe warmers, but they can get uncomfortable and don’t stay put as well as I want.”
