“I don’t get much use out of my L8 because of how focused it is as well. Almost any time I go for a big light I’ll grab my L6 (70.3 HI 3000k) or sometimes my 3X21C (sft40 3000k). For my use they both have more than enough throw but light absolutely everything up. It’s the opposite reason I almost never use my Q8+ anymore either, it’s much floodier but the extra brightness isn’t as appreciable as the extra throw from the L6 or 3X21C. Anyway, they’re all enough to freak out unsuspecting deer.”
