Best praise vs top criticism for Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer
“I’ve been using the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer for about 18 months now, and overall, it’s been a huge upgrade for my kitchen. It’s become our go-to appliance for almost everything, replacing a lot of the tasks I used to rely on my full-sized oven for. It heats up quickly, uses less energy, and the convection feature works well for roasting vegetables or baking frozen foods. The size is great for 2-3 people—it’s big enough to fit a small pizza or roast veggies. That said, it’s not perfect. Toasting is slower than I’d like, and I don’t get that perfectly browned result that I used to get with my old toaster. The air frying feature works fine, but it takes longer and doesn’t quite achieve the same crispiness as a dedicated air fryer. I’ve also found the broiling function underwhelming, so I usually turn on the full oven for that. If you’re looking for a versatile appliance to replace or reduce your oven use, the Breville is a great choice. It’s super handy and we use it daily, but if you’re after perfect toast or super-crispy air-fried food, you might want to consider a standalone air fryer or toaster instead.”
“I’ll get downvoted to hell. But steer clear from Ninja, Instapot and those odd sounding Amazon brands. I’ve burned through all of them, they are intentionally made to be disposable. Good luck getting spare parts other than a tray from these companies. Panasonic flashxpress air frier/toaster oven of Breville smart oven are both excellent and both are able to source parts if they break.”
