Best praise vs top criticism for Body Back Buddy
“just considering the sensitivity of the area I would consider going to a doctor. I think physical therapy would be great in providing exercises and steps forward to get your body back into balance”
“You can start with Floor Time. Set up a thick yoga mat or two. Bring blankets and pillows for bolstering. Start with constructive rest if it’s comfortable to do. Stay for about 20 minutes, while doing gentle diaphragmatic breathing. Then, just start to explore movement. Sway your knees from side to side slowly. Lift a shoulder up as you sway from side to side. STAY in pain-free range of motion! You can gradually add in stretches or restorative or yin yoga poses. They are basically like fancy lying down. They will help open your body back up and calm bracing. For a little movement start with somatic exercises. They focus on gentle and small movements, and how it FEELS to do each movement. Don’t do any that hurt, and if you feel pain during a movement, just rest until the next move pops up. Google the “doorway stretch” for opening your shoulders. Don’t stretch too far too fast! Move slowly and while exhaling, LEAN into the stretch, making sure you’re feeling NO pain. This should get you started. A physical therapist would be immensely more helpful than a chiropractor, IMO. I am a clinical massage therapist and corrective exercise specialist. This is my basic routine to keep my body from falling apart on a daily basis.”
