It depends on your mileage and the type of terrain you cover. 1 mile of volcanic scree like Mt St Helen’s will take days off your boot life. In general I get about 300-400 miles on a soft boot. On a heavy leather boot (Asolo 535) I get up to 1200 miles on the original sole and about 2000 miles on a vibram bifida resole. However there’s routine shoe goo repairs along the way.”
