Best praise vs top criticism for Asolo Manaslu GV
“Oh, there are. The Manaslu Circuit, for example, is amazing and sees a lot less trekkers than the Annapurna Circuit because you are not allowed to do it without a guide. Also, most of it is actual trail rather than dirt road. If you want it even more remote, do the Kangchenjunga Circuit. Went last year on fall and was often the only tourist. Not just in the lodge but in the whole village. And it's unbelievably stunning, too. If you are looking for a shorter trek that's not crowded, you could, for example, look at Kopra Danda. Gorgeous views across the Kali Ghandaki and a lot less people than basically any other trek in its reagion. These 3 are lodge treks. If you're willing to camp, there are even more adventurous ones in e.g. Dolpo.”
“Yes solo, but not manaslu thats my plan for next year if i can get my friend with me. For manaslu you need to be min 2 persons + guide or pay extra for a "ghost" trekker. Ye dont worry about age, i can understand if its a 3 day "party" tour in philippines, but trekking in himalayas is more a spiritual journey where you have time to think and just be present.. worst thing would probably be to go with party people that blast music in the teahouses and get drunk everyday. I suggest you do alot of step/stair training, it will make your journey so much better”
