"I have both mices. Bought the Z1 Pro initially because of my small hands (16cm) and relaxed claw. Used it for 6 months and it was a pretty enjoyable experience. The shape is just perfect to me. It also comes with dot skates, so I highly advise you to put them on because the glide gets so much better. Sadly, after 5 months, the scroll wheel started to fail and behave erratically, so the mouse got became pretty unusable. I strongly considered buying another Z1 Pro but hopped on the VXE R1 Pro bandwagon. I've been using it for 2 months now and will give my pros and cons compared to the Z1 PRO: Pros: build quality | coating | software | feels like it will last longer than my z1 pro Cons: as the shape of the z1 pro was practically perfect for me, everything else will not be as good immediately, but I've already adjusted to the VXE R1 Pro and now it feels almost as good as the z1 pro. "Honestly it depends. As someone who mained the MM720 for 2 years, it’s a very different feel, more narrow for sure. As a natural fingertip player, I immediately aimed better on the M5 and Zeromouse. My hand is more comfortable over long periods on the MM720 and it’ll be my desktop/non fps gaming mouse but when I need to be absolutely precise it goes into the backseat. Do you fingertip the mm720 or do you claw? If fingertip, I’d def give the M5 a try!"

"I have the entire Vaxee lineup. If you like the left side of the AX if not the height, then you’ll like the NP-01. XE is wide and feels wide. Still a great shape but I don’t feel it’s as flexible a shape. Click feel is best on NPs imo. XE clicks feel a little sloppy. NP-01 over the XE for me, and it’s an easy call. I bounce between the AX and NP-01 a lot and I love them both."

"Two years in this mess...figured I'd share thoughts and answer some people's questions since I've tried enough different stuff. 20x11 hands And I'll preface this by saying I'm far from a zoomer. I'm a 30-something dude whose competitive days are long gone. I've never played any aimlabs or whatever. I mostly play slower stuff like Ready or Not, STALKER or Insurgency Sandstorm. Just an average FPS dude that started way back with Half Life. MX518L - As an overall shape I really like this one. I used the G5 as a kid and using this now feels just as natural. But the execution is ehh. The coating is fine for playing but it collects dead skin especially on the top parts of the main buttons like crazy. The wire is very light and easy to move around, to the point I don't even think a proper bungee is needed. The all rubber scroll wheel feels super cheap, but the actual scrolling in games and in browsing is fine. Maybe its got less steps? Not sure. The main issue with it is the main button feel. The buttons are just not well tuned. Something with the tensioning and with how they interact with the switches underneath just doesn't feel good. The second issue is the infamous ring finger ledge. My ring finger LOVES it, its placed perfectly to where my ring finger naturally rests, both the angle of the rest and the height. My pinky though, over time does not like it because it has to do all the work. Regardless, its one of the few mice that I find I can easily switch from my natural relaxed claw to palm for stability and fingertip for desktop work, browsing etc. The top part is wide for your hand to fully rest but the grip width is thin enough so that claw and fingertip are actually quite doable, unlike most of the others. I really hope a brand like Lamzu or Pulsar would do a modern take on this shape. Separated buttons from top shell, better side buttons, better, more suitable skate design, more tactile scroll, lightweight and obviously wireless. I think the ring finger ledge could be done away with and be made one single wide slope. But it has to be angled right. Xlite V3 Large - Very comfy mouse. It does force my hand onto a palm grip which kinda limits range of motion but it also makes it super stable to aim with. Coating is great especially slighty worn in. The main clicks are a bit spongy but because its such a large mouse I find my index and middle finger like to rest flat on the buttons on this one and so the soft clicks are suitable for this. The weight also feels very well balanced on it, not just in terms of centered on the mouse's length but also its height. I can't really describe it but Pulsar have done a great job with this in particular. The side buttons could be better. The scroll was fine but unfortunately its showing signs of doing the reverse inputs. Not very often but its not a thing that's going to get better. DAV3 - In short it feels like a flatter, sharper and in parts lower Xlite V3L. Slightly less grippy coating but still good enough. Scroll wheel should've been made more tactile. Main buttons are better than Xlite but not the best feeling. Side buttons are the best I've ever used on a mouse. I think however the lack of comfort grooves and curves hurts the overall feel of it. I wish it had a deeper thumb curve. I wish it had a rear right flare that extended further out. I especially wish the front right didn't cut off so sharply. But I think despite all that I play the best with it out of all of these? Take that as you wish. DAV2 X HS - I wanted to try the old DA shape after the V3 felt so similar to the Xlite. Eloshapes as well as the Rtings 3d model comparisons don't do this mouse shape justice. I don't think there's anything else like it other than maybe Razer's own discontinued Mambas. It feels wider and lower and yet the grip width at the points where your thumb and ring finger try to meet is thinner than on the V3 and the Xlite. It really feels like someone put their hand on putty and then made a shell based on that. The main buttons feel like they dip sooner than the EC-like mice making it feel like its smaller which is weird? Main clicks are my favorite of all. Side buttons are good but they have some side to side play. Scroll is also better than most of the others. My main issue with it is the coating and the weight balance. I like the coating in terms of light use because it doesn't even feel sticky and doesn't collect dead skin. But it also makes a wide mouse fairly clumsy to lift. If I played on high enough sensitivity this'd probably be the perfect mouse. The weight balance with an Ikea Ladda AAA rechargeable also feels more towards the rear, making lifting the mouse even more awkward. If someone can recommend lighter AAA rechargeables please do so. I really hope Razer does an DA Essential V2 with the old shape but lighter, wireless and better coating. Imecoo P1 - this was one of the new Chinese mice I wanted to try out, since I never had an SS Prime. And I'm glad I did because its really nice. The shape of the rear end of the mouse is my favorite. Its wide but angular and I find it fits the back of my palm perfectly. The thumb groove being so inward and almost under the index finger also feels very natural. The scroll is fine, could be more tactile. The side buttons are very meh. The main buttons feel similar to the DAV2 HS but stiffer and springier. The shape of the buttons also reminds me of the DAV2, with them dipping down sooner are lower. My main gripes with this one are the coating and the right side. The coating gets dirtier than any other of the mice, barring maybe the glossy buttons on the MX518. But the glossy ones are also a lot easier to clean, whereas dirt and dead skin seems to just stick on this coating in particular. The other gripe, the right side is with the legde... Its not wide enough for a ring finger, but the way its designed also limits how much room you have for both ring and pinky. The corner also feels more pronounced, and over longer playing sessions it can start to bother me, digging into the meat of my ring finger. But I do wish more ergo mice copy the left side of the mouse, in particular the thumb curve and the overall wide back, thin front design. To me this feels the most natural shape and with some refinement it could be amazing. Unfortunately I don't expect the Chinese brands or SteelSeries to do any innovation. Fantech Aria 2 - the oddball here obviously. Wanted to try the egg since I had tried a friends G305 and found it surprisingly nice to aim with. Neat little mouse. Feels very agile to move around. But also its a shape where I kinda move my grip around and I especially notice I overshoot on the vertical axis whenever I do larger left/right swipes. Main buttons are good, but not great. Side buttons are meh, feel kinda cheap and almost loose. Functional yes, but not really good. Scroll wheel, on the other hand is my favorite of the lot. Its a bit stiffer than the others but the notches feel very defined. Coating on it also feels really good. Grippy but doesn't seem to get nearly as dirty as say, the P1 or the DAV3."

"I swore off mice without full-size switches for middle mouse click as they just keep failing first. I've run Logitech for a long time and now got a Zaopin ZPW Max but that also failed on middle mouse button. Square switches are just shit and a matter of time before they break. After some research I decided to go for Darmoshark N7 Max as it has this assymetric ergo, palm grip friendly shape that I loved about ZPW Max. I was also looking at Endgame Gear OP1w v2. Smaller mouse, less of a bump but symmetric. Vaxee also uses normal switches for middle mouse button but I don't think price is justifiable with advent of Chinese mice that do the same but for a fraction of cost."

The R1 Pro is a good mouse, but if you can still snatch an Xlite V3 for that cheap, I'd suggest grab that instead of the VXE, the Xlite just feels more premium in my opinion than the VXE. I bought an EC1-C yesterday and much preferred the stiffer click and very tactile scroll wheel compared to the EC2-CW which made the clicks lighter as well as the scroll wheel. "The Zowie S1-C is a nice wired mouse with some weight. The Logitech G502 Hero has extra metal weights which you can add or remove to your liking. Most mice at the moment tend to be on the smaller, lighter side though."

"The three mice I have in rotation are: * GPX * Zowie S1-C * Vaxee XE For me, these three mice are similar in that they're 1) medium-sized mice, 2) have relatively flat sides with a slight curve, and 3) work as both fingertip and claw-grip mice. Some caveats though: The Zowie S1-C isn't exactly a fingertip-style mouse, but it is solidly built and works better as a claw mouse than the GPX. Also, I don't believe there's a wireless version of the S1 yet, but there is a wireless version of the S2; however, it's a much smaller mouse. The Vaxee XE is built like a tank, and is more of a fingertip-style mouse than the GPX or the Zowie S1-C, but depending on how you hold the mouse and your hand size, you may not be able to claw it comfortably. If you're looking for a replacement for the GPX, I would probably recommend trying the Vaxee XE wireless first."
