Best praise vs top criticism for Pulsar Xlite V3
“Switches and mouse companies have gotten better about double clicking and click issues. The old days of Logitech's double clicking mice in their G502, G305, G703, GPW, etc. (which was a result of low voltages to reduce power consumption) are past us, so most modern mice with regular switches double click at a lower rate than they used to. Also, Kailh 8.0 switches were popular about 2-4 years ago and they were prone to double clicking, but those are now almost completely unused and thankfully extinct in modern mice. Transparent Huano Blue Shell Pink Dots have become one of the industry standards, and they have a good track record with no double clicks or click issues, but it's not impossible by any means to develop double clicks with those switches. I have not personally dealt with any Huano BSPD's double clicking but I have with others in the past. Optical clicks, however, are signficiantly less likely, if not nearly impossible to double click, but feel subjectively worse and sometimes hollow feeling and pingy in sound than your average mechanical switches. This isn't that important, as you can absolutely get used to them or even prefer them over mechanical switches. I've tried a lot of switches, and I just prefer mechanical switches myself. For reliable brands, which also don't have click issues (look for "optical clicks/switches" which could be described as "omron opticals" or "raesha opticals") which are almost impossible to double click, there are: - Pulsar (X2V2, X2H, and Xlite v3 use raesha opticals. They announced that they will update their mice lineup soon but we don't know exactly when so you could wait for those to drop.) - LAMZU (some mice have opticals like raesha opticals in the LAMZU Thorn, or omron opticals in their "Champion Edition" mice, or mechanical switches like the regular transparent Huano Blue Shell Pink Dots found in some other models. I personally absolutely love their transparent Huano BSPD clicks much more than their optical clicks and it's not even close). Next in the tier are a step down in reliability for one reason or another that will require some time to explain otherwise, but I'll omit it and these mice are still very solid optiojs to try: - Ninjutso (Only the Ninjutso Sora 4K or the Ninjutso Sora v2 will have omron optical switches). - WLMouse Beast X 8K and Beast X Max (NOT THE BEAST X MINI) have options for omron opticals. The TTC Nihil Transparent Black Dots are mechanicals. Get the omron optical version instead imo. WLmouse Sword X has similar 2 options for switches, but it's an ergo shape and I'm hesitant to recommend it since it's new, but it us a relatively safe ergo mouse shape to try and the Beast X 8K and Beast X Max have been great mouse releases so their track record is solid.) That should be enough in regards to options for optical switches. There's still giants like Vaxee or Zowie that deserve attention, but don't have optical switches as an option. Those two brands are very safe and”
“After months of using symmetrical mice like the GPX, OP1, R1 Pro Max and Model O Pro I finally decided to get an ergo after avoiding them for 5 years and I got the EC2 last week I instantly just clicked with the mouse with the way it provides stability unlike a symmetrical mouse. Eventually I did find some flaw in the mouse like the weight and that's about it I didn't hate anything else about the mouse so I started exploring and found the pulsar xlite v3 wired for pretty cheap and put it on order my my this mouse is exactly what I was looking for. I will say that the shape is not 1:1 as the xlite is slightly wider from grip width and has a more pronounced hump which makes me have a bit more of an aggressive grip but it doesn't affect my aim that much. I don't have any desire for any other mouse right now I just really want to stick with my EC2 and the xlite wired. Maybe I could try the vaxee ax but ever since they stopped producing their wired mice which we're half the price of their wireless I'm not really inclined to pay that price right now.”
