“More or less any piece of metal is BIFL. I could attach a handle to a piece of sheet metal and it’s BIFL. Doesn’t mean that it’s great quality. You kind of invalidate your argument by saying that your parents dull knife hasn’t broken, but they don’t care if it cuts poorly. If you’re looking to get a BIFL knife, might as well get a decent knife. Doesn’t have to be super expensive. Victorinox makes great knives.”
