“Tizen on monitors must work differently than Tizen on TVs because on my G95SC monitor I've never experienced what you said about when the monitor goes to sleep, and it's only updated when I've done so manually. Also I like having the smart functionality because it lets me plug in nice wired speakers using the monitor's USB-C port and connect to them with airplay, or any device connected to the monitor rather than just my desktop (and yeah non-smart monitors could do the second part but usually not via usb-c so you're stuck with their usually crap quality built-in aux jack)”
