I'm talking SMALL tweaks - an inch one way and then listening awhile, another inch and then listening awhile.... etc. Eventually they moved farther apart and farther away from the rear wall and this did the trick. I also invested in an nicer turntable with a good cartridge. Pretty happy now!”

But that doesn’t mean there’s some rule that you must like them more because of that. You’re allowed to prefer a speaker that measures slightly “worse” on an objective basis. Also, despite what places like GR-Research might claim, the new SVS speakers are pretty damn good in their own right. Finally, the other commenter is correct. If these speaker are not in the same room in roughly the same position, it is difficult to do any sort of meaningful direct comparison.”

+2 pts“The R11 is just the R3 with added woofers. From 400hz up to 20khz it's all the Uni-Q driver playing. The difference being that you'll be having a non-Meta Uni-Q in the R11 instead of the better Meta one in your R3. Don't get the R11. It's a waste of money. A subwoofer does a much better job in producing bass than an array of small woofers. The R11 may have an advantage in settings where there's no subwoofer. But if a subwoofer is an option, R3 Meta + subwoofer beats R11 hands down.”
