They shipped FedEx and when they finally arrived, the boxes were in rough shape - FedEx attempted to put them back together again with packing tape. When I opened the boxes I was gutted to see that both subs were damaged. I ordered these through Audio Advice and the good news is they took care of it. I returned the damaged ones and they shipped another set to me. I completely agree with you, if I can avoid FedEx, I absolutely will from now on.”

But that doesn’t mean there’s some rule that you must like them more because of that. You’re allowed to prefer a speaker that measures slightly “worse” on an objective basis. Also, despite what places like GR-Research might claim, the new SVS speakers are pretty damn good in their own right. Finally, the other commenter is correct. If these speaker are not in the same room in roughly the same position, it is difficult to do any sort of meaningful direct comparison.”

+2 pts“The R11 is just the R3 with added woofers. From 400hz up to 20khz it's all the Uni-Q driver playing. The difference being that you'll be having a non-Meta Uni-Q in the R11 instead of the better Meta one in your R3. Don't get the R11. It's a waste of money. A subwoofer does a much better job in producing bass than an array of small woofers. The R11 may have an advantage in settings where there's no subwoofer. But if a subwoofer is an option, R3 Meta + subwoofer beats R11 hands down.”
