“We are nearly four years into getting an extra firm base with a bunch of legs down the middle for extra support. On that we have an extra firm mattress that was our guest bed. It had not had regular use, but the comfort layers weren’t that comfy anymore. We put a three inch soft topper from sleep on latex on it. Each time a new guest sleeps there we get questions about the setup — people of all weights, heights, and sleep positions. Except our adult daughter who is a stomach sleeper. She would prefer if it was slightly less soft. It works so well it’s where I escape if my husband is snoring extra loud or if I’m extra wiggly. (I have a nighttime movement disorder: PLMD.) I have a herniated disc, and osteoarthritis in my knees, and hips. I wake up without back, knee, hip, or shoulder pain. All this to say I think it’s an excellent idea.”
