+30 pts“It gets too hot, too fast for these Hank hotrods. I knew this going in but jeez, the copper head makes them even worse. 12 seconds is the max I can hold the D4K by the head. The D3AA steps down around the 20 sec mark which is around the time I start feeling the heat coming on. They’re definitely stylish and make a nice pair but that’s about it for me. There’s one thing I’ve noticed that annoys me more than the heat and that’s how unpleasant the threads are when unscrewing/screwing the tail cap. It even sounds bad . It’s as if the threads have a sand powder on them or something. Not a gritty sound or feel but a very dry experience if that makes sense. I guess that’s just how titanium threads are because my Convoy T4ti has the same attributes other than the heat issue. Ti looks nice but that’s about it as far as I’m concerned.”
