“I've had a queen size Brooklyn Bedding signature hybrid in firm since 2020. I like it more now than I did back then. It has held up great. I'm 6' and 230 lbs. stomach sleeper, so I'm not really small (and I really dislike memory foam). It was only around $800 when I bought it. Appears to be around $1200 or so now, but they run discounts constantly, and I still would pay that. It has a small top layer of memory foam, and pocketed coil springs. Doesn't sink in like all foam beds, but has the little bit of soft support that you want from foam. If you're bigger, get the firm, as the more you sink into a mattress, the hotter it gets. Brooklyn Bedding has actual cooling models, but I can't speak for them. I get it. Mattress shopping sucks. I'm literally only still in this subreddit, because I got so frustrated trying to buy a bed that I stuck around to at least be an unbiased recommender for someone else. And I promise this isn't an ad. Shit ass fuck dick suckafuckin turd (because what paid advertiser would say that lmao?)”

“The sealy is a great mattress. It may sag but after a pretty solid time of ownership. There's no reason to be unkind and neither of you are ungodly heavy. It's worth the investment for a good night's sleep. Truthfully it may be worth talking to your primary care or a sleep specialist to quantify a little more what you need and they can probably give you a much more solid recommendation. As for the reality check. It is always good to strive for personal wellbeing but you should also do it on your term and when you're ready to. If you throw yourself into diets or work out plans that make crazy promises you're likely going to lose hope and it's really better to just work at it over time which by nature will also extent your mattress longevity. Should you choose to make a step into personal fitness just keep in mind that everyone working out has a reason to be working out and no one really is judging or looking at you and you'd be shocked how supportive the fitness community can be when they see people trying to make change.
