Beautyrest Black vs Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid

“I've had a queen size Brooklyn Bedding signature hybrid in firm since 2020. I like it more now than I did back then. It has held up great. I'm 6' and 230 lbs. stomach sleeper, so I'm not really small (and I really dislike memory foam). It was only around $800 when I bought it. Appears to be around $1200 or so now, but they run discounts constantly, and I still would pay that. It has a small top layer of memory foam, and pocketed coil springs. Doesn't sink in like all foam beds, but has the little bit of soft support that you want from foam. If you're bigger, get the firm, as the more you sink into a mattress, the hotter it gets. Brooklyn Bedding has actual cooling models, but I can't speak for them. I get it. Mattress shopping sucks. I'm literally only still in this subreddit, because I got so frustrated trying to buy a bed that I stuck around to at least be an unbiased recommender for someone else. And I promise this isn't an ad. Shit ass fuck dick suckafuckin turd (because what paid advertiser would say that lmao?)”

“The black series just got relaunched in 2024. Typically, these beds would be redone every 3 years or so. But the mast iteration was bad enough that they went ahead and redid the new ones...and I gotta say, it's 1000000000% better than the last iteration. That being said. Series 1&2 are both solid choices and not 6k. But personally I like the feels of series 3 the best. Real talk, I can't risk my job but if you just wait a few months beautyrest will be launching some new stuff that is in the 3k price range that are absolutely stacked for the price.. they feel SOOO good. They also got some stuff for their 100 yr anniversary but not sure on the price. Retailers are currently looking at the new stuff this week....so should start seeing them cycle in I would say march at the earliest. The company has seen alot of changes. But the recently brought on the guy who made those beds 15/20 years ago back last year and he's been slowly redoing everything to get it back to quality. So you might see some mixed reviews on these products but it definitely depends on the year someone purchased. I may or may not be a long time employee.....”
