+2 pts“He might like the victorinox compact, I have the ranger with the compacts scales (adds a pen and eyeglass driver) but it’s a little too bulky. It is incredible for camping but too much for daily life. I sometimes find myself wanting to get the compact as it seems to be the perfect daily carry. I also have the leatherman bond and to be completely honest its size is so perfect it’s hard for me to even go to a wave+. I ended up adding scissors and a saw to it (making it my perfect tool) but I think it is good without those. I also prefer it’s fixed Phillips and flat head drivers as they are more sturdy and you can’t lose them. The tool will be very stiff at first so fair warning”
