Best praise vs top criticism for Victorinox Explorer
“Medium (91mm), 4 layer Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. Personally, I recommend the Explorer for urban use and Huntsman for more rural/nature use, but there a bunch of models depending on what tools you want/need. For 50-60 you’ll be getting the best quality control in the multitool market along with many non-obvious uses. If you still doubt the Swiss Army knife, watch some videos from Felix Immler on YouTube. He’s a bushcraft guy who does almost everything with a Swiss Army knife and has loads of tips/tricks and hidden features guides. If you absolutely need pliers, you can pair that with Knipex Cobra XS pliers which are made in Germany and will literally last forever. You can often find them for around 25 in US markets. That combo will give you more tools/uses than any Leatherman, with both tools having better quality control, still while being lighter (combined) and cheaper (also prices combined). I’ve gone through 3 Leatherman multi tools and returned them all just to land on the Victorinox + Knipex combo.”
“Inline phillips is better. But Explorer is bulkier than Tinker. referring to what OP searches Tinker is better choice since it doesnt have as many tools as Explorer”
