Best praise vs top criticism for Victorinox Climber
“I carried the pen version (Manager) for years as my EDC. No flashlight, no pocket knife, no pry bar, no pliers or screwdriver. Just a Manager. And I was happy as a clam. After experimenting with other 58mm, I am not a huge MiniChamp fan. I am currently working on a mod to make it a lot better but that's a story for another day. I do like the old Vagabond is a step in between the MiniChamp and Rambler. It gets rid of the coke spoon and ruler, keeps the rest and converts the file tip into a screwdriver. If I had to rank them: 1. Vagabond with pen scales (I call it a VcGyver) 2. Rambler with pen scales (Manager) 3. Jetsetter with pen scales (I call it a SkyWriter). 4. Talisman (blade, file, combi Phillips, pen) 5. Minichamp The Jetsetter makes the list because it is a great companion tool for the Sportsman/Cadet, and for travel. The Sportsman/SkyWriter only weighs 10g more than the Compact, and provides so much more utility. The Talisman makes the list because it is a great companion to a 91mm with scissors that lacks a good file and Phillips (Compact, Climber, Pioneer X, etc.).”
“I'd love to try it with victorinox 91mm scissors since I personally hate the wingman scissors, I would imagine its harder to do”
