“You shouldn't be watching what Floyd is doing and trying to be like him. More than likely your not that good. He isn't in a balanced position throwing that punch. So if he misses he is likely going to stumble forward because he gets his body way over his hips going forward. Maybe he is just so good he dosent over throw his punches but guys like that can have weird techniques and just make them work due to how naturally athletic they are. Pushing forward every time you throw a punch is going to make throwing combos harder especially if you do not hit the target. Then when your all off balance your going to get hit. Also I have no idea who is just twisting their back leg in place like the guy is talking about. The pivot always involves your hips. Seems like he is kind of making up flaws in one kind of punching to make his look better.. I would got back to pivoting and making sure your hips and uper body pivot as well. Being able to throw thr absolute strongest punch is always what you want. You want to be balanced, be able to hut your target and throw combos. If your just flying around the ring throwing crazy punches it's not going to do you any good. Your also going to get tired a lot faster. I dont know what your talking about with the upper cut but the idea is to drop your weight so you can be moving up as the same time you throw it. Are you trying to jump as you throw an uppercut? Seems like your just trying to get more power which isn't always what you want. It can be detrimental.”
