Best praise vs top criticism for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1
“I'm currently travelling with the gorgeous Sigma 35mm 1.2 Art, and I really miss my RX1. \^\^ In all honesty: get the 1.8. I genuinely believe only photography nerds with no life (like us) will see a difference if we really pay attention. And considering the low noise of your camera and the amazing AI noise reduction of modern raw converters, the 2/3 of a stop won't make or break a picture. Get the smaller and lighter setup. It will increase the likelihood of you bringing the camera in the first place dramatically.”
“That person would be served better for whatever they determine their needs and wants are. The RX1 is still FF, still has a great lens, still is F2.0. And it's significantly cheaper than a Q3 plus the Q3 is significantly bigger. Even the X100VI is bigger. Yes, it's a free world (we should be grateful!)- and to you is a waste of money, to someone else it may not be. Your needs are not the ground truth for everyone.”
