+3 pts“The Fargo is boost. But it will gladly take a double and the carbon fork is plenty strong. Or you could just swap it for a steel fork like the Surly Dinner fork. Piolet is a great option. Possibly the Polyvalent if you pick your build right. Check out the Surly Midnight Special. 700c for the streets and 27.5 for the off road.”

Get the suspension build and you could possibly ditch the rockhopper. The MS is the most "road" of these. I had one. It ripped on 32s and was quite comfortable on 38s. I'd say the Fargo is the "slowest" one.”
