tldr; Versatile all-mountain twin. Rock Out Camber profile makes it forgiving and fun. Good beginner-to-intermediate progression board, nothing exceptional.

Best praise vs top criticism for Salomon Assassin
“I’ve got the 2023 Assassin and love it, although it was my first and only board so I don’t know if I can compare it to much 🤣”
“Lots of variety without a heavy park focus. That eliminates the Huck Knife and Tweaker in my eyes. They’re both park focused (true twin and camber). The Assassin and Custom Camber are probably the most versatile, can handle park/jumps + your groomer variety. I’d throw the Thunderstorm in here too as well as the X (but the X is super aggressive/stiff). The Hometown Hero and BSOD are more powder/free ride leaning. The Jamie Lynn probably falls under that category too. I know Yes just went through their Lobster merge so I’m not up to speed on their gear and I avoid arbor like the plague. Major QC issues (I’ve warrantied 5 boards from them) which they’ve addressed but not worth it in my eyes anymore”
