Best praise vs top criticism for Razer Naga V2 HyperSpeed
“Hey man, I was looking at getting this for work, but I ended up getting a Razer Naga v2 Hyperspeed over it. I dont like that a premium mouse like that doesn't have the option of an onboard memory profile which holds your customization. It requires the logitech app. Some companies may be funny with installing applications like that. The Razer Naga has like 19 programmable buttons. Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz wireless options. You do need to install Synapse on a system to configure the mouse but once you do, the profile saves to the mouse and works either you connect via BT or Wireless dongle. Battery is great so far, weight is nice and it feels good in the hand. Also has the infinite scroll wheel. Lastly, my daily work laptop is a macbook, and I use it on here. I just had to change the modifier key on the OSX settings and I was good to go.”
“The reviews are pretty superficial. I'll add a word about the Naga V2 Hyperspeed. The ergonomics are good for work, but not suitable for shooters—too fiddly to grip. The plastic quality is Chinese—at first glance, it was clearly worse than the old Logitech G604. After a year, the plastic on the left button started to shine, which the Logitech doesn't have even after three years. The scroll wheel has an inertial mode like the Logitech, but outside of that mode, it's much quieter and smoother. Definitely a plus. There's still no sticking or double-clicking, unlike with Logitech, where that's a major gimmick—people like to solder microswitches or buy new mice every eighteen months, which is one of the reasons they buy Logitech mice. It takes a terrible time to wake up from sleep mode when connected to Bluetooth. The charge lasts 2 to 4 months on an AA battery. If you buy a Li-ion battery with a Type-C connector, you can stop whining and realize it's much more convenient than a built-in battery that will have to be replaced after 3-4 years. THERE'S NO FUCKING RUBBER THAT PEELS OFF (only on the sides where your finger can't reach), which means the mouse won't turn into Frankenstein's monster in two years. Basically, if you need a mouse with a huge number of buttons, wireless, infinite scrolling, and a very user-friendly design, this is the mouse for you. Because the Logitech G604, while versatile, has long been discontinued.”
