I don't experiment a ton with profiles but I didn't want to cut myself off from the ability to do so in the future. I got really excited learning about spring lever machines, declining profile mixed with easy repeatability was an awesome idea. ended up buying a Nurri Leva and I'm sooo glad I did. I spent a little more money than the micra (though less than the mini) and have a fun, tactile, easy machine that I can play around with endlessly given the ability to run pump and preinfusion separate from the lever. If this is interesting to you I'd highly recommend giving it a look”

+1 pts“I haven’t had experience with Nurri or ACS so I can’t comment on them but philosophically I don’t find them appealing at all. The spring lever, in my mind, has a big advantage of being simple. No three way solenoids and complexity. I don’t see any advantages of either ACS or Nurri that would make the results in the cup better - I’d love stopping the shot but then back to my point above… at home, I don’t think it’s a big deal. I’m not great with tinkering but managed to upgrade from R to R24 myself. Pretty much everything went, including manifold. Given how involved Reiss is with Londinium community and improvements, it’s amazing. I’ve not been impressed by ACS since they never bothered to reply since 2019 lol. I don’t particularly like people involved too as I find one engineer behind them very disingenuous and they badmouth everything else. Don’t get me wrong, if I could afford KvdW Spiritello I’d be very tempted to give it a go but that sort of money isn’t spare change to me.”
