+9 pts“$500 is enough to get a quilt from any of the premium makers: Nunatak, Feathered Friends, Western Mountaineering, Gryphon Gear and Katabatic. I’m biased but you absolutely can’t go wrong with an Arc UL from Nunatak as a first time quilt user.”

+4 pts“I've owned both a Nunatak Arc UL and a Timmermade false bottom Wren. I thought the Nunatak temp rating was more overstated in my experience than the Timmermade. I think the Timmermade has less down because they are more tapered/form fitting so there's less measurable baffle space overall to fill. Plus, the Serpentes is using a 1000 fill power to achieve loft compared to the 900 of Nunatak, so with that alone it's going to be less fill weight. Nunatak has smaller width baffles and in my opinion, does a better job of controlling down, down migration and cold spots. Loft measurement certainly isn't the only metric to go off of, but as a consumer comparing quilts, it's the one I usually key into first. I think Nunatak claims a 15\* rating for their 2.75" loft. By comparison, Katabatic claims a 22\* rating for their 2.75" loft.”
