Best praise vs top criticism for Numatic Henry
“I'd definitely recommend a canister type vacuum considering the hard floor type and all rhe dust. You'll want something with a good hose and dusting tools for cleaning all the corners, woodwork, etc. Sebo and miele are good options, but another to look at is Numatic Henry Xtra. Its like a cross between a canister vac and a shop vac. They're a bit simpler and more rugged, able to handle some of the dust from building work better imo. Plus the bags they use are huge. The xtra model comes with an air driven turbine brush which should be sufficient for your rugs. It doesn't quite have the power and agitation as a motorized head like on a sebo/miele, but it might be enough. And I think a Henry suits your situation better in other ways to make up for that. The Xtra version also comes with a better dedicated hard floor brush for the wood, better than a standard Henry at least. Henry's got a longer than average hose and set of tubes, which should help you reach dust and cobwebs up high more easily. Having said all that, its hard to go wrong with a Sebo E3 or D4, Miele C3, even a Sebo felix would be good, though I'd suggest getting an extra extension hose and tubes for that.”
“"break" My henry has been pretty breaky. Weak point is where the angled plastic hose end joins the wand. That's split on me several times (I have two henry's). Rented a cottage and it had a james. Sure enough the exact part was broken and held together by duct tape so it's not "just me". I've also had the main hose snap off at the canister and once it just stopped working, still not sure why but took it apart and cleaned it and it started working again. Luckily it's fairly easy/cheap to get replacement parts. I think the hose end was like 7 or 10 pound from amazon uk. # Numatic 216295 Vacuum Hose End Assembly, Plastic [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Numatic-Vacuum-Hose-End-Assembly/dp/B01BEVS3MU](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Numatic-Vacuum-Hose-End-Assembly/dp/B01BEVS3MU) If this is for general cleaning I'd really miss a powered head if you have carpeting. A minor annoyance with the henry is that the attachments only fit the wand not the end of the hose where you might want it for stuff like cleaning cars or furniture. This handy little attachment fixes that. I got one for both of the attachments (the mini head and the crevice tool) and they just live on the attachment. (If your henry ships with the XST1 or A4 tool kit it includes one of these, I like having two so I don't need to swap). # Numatic 601141 Tube, Plastic [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Numatic-601141-Double-Taper-Adaptor/dp/B002KCU58I](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Numatic-601141-Double-Taper-Adaptor/dp/B002KCU58I) A great head for the henry is the RD 285 from wesselwerk.. Only problem is no parking clip which makes stowing the henry a mess.”
