Best praise vs top criticism for Nicks Traveler
“**Make and Model:** Grant Stone Traveler Penny in Bourbon Suede **Leather:** I think this is a Seidel leather. I forget but I read it somewhere. **Size:** Alexander last, 8 EEE **Sole:** Leather sole with topy and teflon toe taps added. So I have very wide feet. I wear a 7.5 FFF in PNW boots. Finding boots and shoes that actually fit me is a curse because I've spent who knows how long looking at pictures of boots and shoes on the internet I will never wear, yet it is also probably a blessing because I've saved myself who knows how many thousands of dollars not buying footwear. Any way I've wanted a loafer for a while ever since I was called out for being too old to wear Sperry's everywhere during the summer. So I took a gamble and ordered these Grant Stones. And to my joyful surprise, they fit. A bit tight at first, but a solid fit with thin socks and au naturale.”
“Comfort is such a big deal to me, and I went back and forth on the leather options. For me, the waxed option seemed easier to own. Less flash, more function. Hike in the woods, the shoes (mostly) clean themselves. Let the shoe patina and develop a character all their own or re-wax and enjoy the continued easy maintenance. With the wax approach, I can where them to the office. On vacation, the only thing I would avoid using them for is going for a jog on concrete; but if you are a light traveler, they can make packing that much easier. They tick a lot of boxes for me.”
