“IdeaPad Pro 5 will have better build since it's all metal. I own the 2024 variant, and it's a pretty sturdy laptop with good performance. That said, the Legion has a better GPU, non-soldered RAM, better cooling since it's thicker, and the CPU's power efficient so battery life should be good. Build quality isn't bad either, despite its plastic chasis. Both laptops will last you a while, but the only advantage the IdeaPad Pro 5 has over the Legion is the aluminium build. Even if you don't game too much, the Legion can double as a productivity machine and do it better than the IdeaPad due to the 5060 GPU.”
“hes wrong. the slim 5 and pro 5 are basically equal. i am looking at them right now on my desk. doing a video comparing them, and as the above user mentions, a 4060/70 above 100w is pointless. both the 5 pro and 5 slim cool the same basically, and perf is the same.”
