“Often the tooling/molds come to the end of their useful life and a manufacturer looks back at their sales and decides if a product is profitable enough to retool or not. That’s probably what happened here. Sometimes a product comes back, but in a slightly different configuration that’s cheaper/easier to manufacture and/or has more contemporary features to help sales. I would hope that’s what we see with the Crunch as a locking plier based multitool is somewhat unique and definitely useful for some applications.”
