Best praise vs top criticism for Lamzu Atlantis
“Got the Beast X as a Christmas gift to myself and I've been a happy camper for the most part. Notable mice I've tried in the past: Ninjutso Sora 4K, X2V2, X2H, Viper V2 Pro, Lamzu Atlantis, DAv3 Pro, Darmoshark M3 4K, XM2we, and MM 712. I'm currently on a 30-day Fingertip Grip challenge (but I did try to claw grip it) and I have 19.5x10cm hands A TL;DR of the things I liked (+), were ok (=), didn't like (-) about the mouse after 2 weeks of use: \+ 40g weight (could feel the difference compared to my Sora 4K and GPXS) \+ Build quality is superb \+ Main clicks feel amazing \+ Scroll wheel has nice and tactile steps \+ The unboxing experience was nice and they include grips and glass skates out of the box = The holes on the mouse was ok, I barely think about it after a couple of days of use = The cube takes up a bit of desk space \- The stock dot skates could be better (and the film covering it should be colored for easier identification) \- Battery life at 4K polling is just sad \- Software experience can be improved Coating: Surprisingly grippy. My fingers on M1 and M2 don't feel like it'll slip out even when sweating. The coating feels closer to something found on the X2V2, as compared to the chalky feeling of the Ninjutso Sora 4K. Weight: 40g weight feels really light. I was really surprised at how light it was when I picked it up and started moving it around. I can definitely feel the weight difference between this and the Ninjutso Sora 4K (50g). Build Quality: This is my first magnesium mouse, and it really feels great out of the box. No creaking, flexing, no misaligned M1 and M2 shells, scroll wheel is centered. The cutouts aren't sharp feeling, like I don't feel like I'd cut my fingers or my palm when touching the holes, even when aggressively gripping the mouse. Overall really great build quality. I also accidentally dropped the Cube dongle on our tile floor, and no dents or scratches on it, and it works perfectly. Also, pretty cool to touch the mouse and it'll feel cold at the beginning, gives a more of a premium feel. Skates: The batch I got already started to ship the mouse with pre-applied dot skates. Note that it does come with a clear film (my suggestion to WLMouse would be to change the film to blue so that it'll be easier to notice). I first tried it with the film on, and tracking scenarios were horrible because it felt scratchy, removing the film fixes it for awhile. The first 2 days of using the stock skates, it actually felt smooth and fast, but after that it suddenly felt more scratchy especially when you dig into the mousepad. If you just lightly hold the mouse and move it, it's fine, but if you apply any downward pressure, it starts getting scratchy. That's why I was so confused as to why when I do clicking scenarios, it feels fine, but the moment I do track heavy stuff that requires me to continuously press M1, it starts to feel scratchy and slow. I replaced the stock skates with Jade skates after a week, and t”
“Forget clones maybe? I had 4 GPX Superlights, all had issues. I went with 2 ergo mice. The Lamzu Thorn and Vaxee Outset AX and both are phenomenal. Going from a symmetrical to ergo was not a big deal, in fact, the grip is better. The build quality on both are excellent. We will see over time. I would highly suggest trying both out to see if your grip matches ones better than the other. Personally I use the Outset Ax for gaming and my kills in cs2 have went up 20%. If you don't want an ergo, I would suggest looking at the Lamzu Atlantis, or the Vaxee NP-01. I am not a "get brand X" guy, but with so many bad Logitech mice, I would never buy another. Other brands like Vaxee are known for their high quality products.”
