tldr; Women's all-mountain twin. Directional shape with twin flex works park to powder. Forgiving but capable board.

Best praise vs top criticism for Jones Twin Sister
“I wouldn't spend that much unless she's in freaking love with snowboarding, and is dead set on getting better. If she's super into it and showing vast improvements, get her a Jones Twin Sister in a 140. The spoon nose/base shape is very forgiving to learn on, good ice hold, good carver, can hit side hits, stiff enough to conquer the whole mountain and grow on (you don't want a clapped out 10 year old used noodle board, it will hold her back), even good float in powder. My wife [rides the Twin Sister](https://youtu.be/JqjVDm5O2eI?si=tvB5l7y937lTgqKe&t=131) and the Forte's. It's a good combo. But like /u/noob_tube03 said, most women boards are beginner boards. The problem is that most people progress past a beginner board very quickly, so if you're gonna buy one...buy something that she can learn on, progress on, and grow into that's forgiving and encourages proper board technique. Learning on a full rocker board and trying camber out for the first time can be a painful transition.”
“Very cool! It sounds like a directional board is the way to go. I rode the twin sister (years ago now) and while I think the board has changed somewhat, I don't think this is the board for you. Jones boards are very (too?) stiff and while that is great at high speeds, you sacrifice nimbleness. Whenever I see someone on a Jones board, it looks like they are riding a piece of plywood. Feel free to send me a message with the kinds of boards you have access to and we can look at them together :)”
