Best praise vs top criticism for Happy Baby Original Carrier
“You don't have to make a happy baby happier. I remind myself of that when she's chilling in the pack N play, totally content or entertaining herself, and I'm doing dishes or something. I feel this guilt sometimes like I should be doing stuff with her every moment she's awake, but time she spends alone, chilling, is good for her, too! (Or at the very least, definitely not harmful!)”
“My guy is 8 months almost 9 months. Our schedule is a little bit flexible but I’ll give an example of a typical day and what/how much food we offer him. 8:00am wake up (sometimes more like 8:30) 8:00am-9:00am wake up & immediately breakfast lol! He sits in his chair and eats happy baby creamies (it’s just freeze dried fruit, veggie, and coconut milk) by himself. He loves to practice picking them up and putting them in his mouth. I make one seasoned scrambled egg usually and let him eat that by himself too. If he is still hungry I give him some yogurt and fruit blended or cottage cheese and fruit blended. We offer water with meal. 9:00am-10:30am clean up/play time (water or milk bottle is accessible if he wants it) 10:30-11 or 11:30 books/ more relaxing activity + 6 or 7 oz bottle 11:30-1 or 1:30 nap (typically 1 1/2 to 2 hr nap) 1:00-1:30 or 2 immediately lunch lol! Usually I give him puré, or leftovers from dinner (mash potato, sweet potato, oatmeal) any kind of soft food. I try to feed him myself to avoid the mess but he usually demands the spoon and that takes longer. We offer water, he usually only takes a few sips. 2-4 playtime (milk bottle is accessible) 4pm 6oz bottle 4-5 nap 5-5:30 immediately dinner when he wakes up. He eats what we eat. If it is mushy, we give it to him without blending— if it is a choking hazard we blend it up and spoon feed. He will eat 1-2 bowls of whatever dinner we make. Tonight he had steak meat, bell pepper, onion, and broccoli. (Mostly he gets veggie with a dash of meat blended in). 5:30-7:30 bath time/ playtime 7:30-8:00 calm time. We usually read books and do more chill activities. He is crawling so often this time is spent in his play pen with me. 8:00-8:30 6 or 7oz bottle. He wakes up twice in the night to feed. Usually once around midnight and takes 3-6oz, and once around 4 or 5am and takes 2-6oz. Not sure if it matters, but my guy is kinda big. He’s 99th in height and 84th in weight. He is very hungry and food motivated. I will say, when he turned 7m he definitely started to refuse naps, sleep, and food. He ended up popping his first tooth! Your babe could just be growing/teething.”
