Best praise vs top criticism for FiiO K3
“If your headphones aren't very demanding then a cheap Fiio K3 will do just fine. It's what I've been using.”
“You name it: * Fiio K3 just up and died. * Fiio Q3 random USB disconnects. Does not seem to understand host wake states? * Fiio BTRK1 OG adapter just had really limited range * Fiio BTR5 No power, sounds extremely thin, and shit range with constant connection issues * Fiio BTR7 Okay sound quality and otherwise an absolute pile of shit. This thing could never handle multiple devices and had extremely buggy handoff behaviour. I updated the firmward and it defaulted to Chinese, had a bunch of "ghost" connections, and would randomly switch from one device to another. This thing also could never figure out whether it was connected to a USB host and behave as a DAC or remain in BT mode. Absolute disaster. While the Q5k wasn't my thing, it was a breath of fresh air in regards to software. Nobody should buy anything from Fiio that involves software. Ever.”
