Best praise vs top criticism for Faema E61
“Very cool project and good job on fixing the machine:) it is not the E61 though… it’s a regular grouphead”
“Profitec and ECM are similar brands. I think they share a lot of components and designs. You won't be disappointed with build quality with either of them. The Synchronika is a traditional "End-Game" type machine. By that I mean, it's got an E61 brewhead, rotary pump, and two big boilers. The Move is a more mid-tier machine. Vibratory pump, mid-sized boilers, tank only water supply. However... If it were me, I'd take the Move. The vibratory pump is super quiet. It has two programmable buttons with shot time and pre-infusion, quick heat up, and the saturated brew group is very temp stable. The Synchronika is a more traditional machine. It's big, heavy, and requires maintenance to the E61 that a saturated group doesn't, and isn't as temperature stable either. But the E61 machines do evoke a more "mechanical" and tactile approach to espresso making that a machine like the Move can't offer. ”
