“The Everyday Essentials plates are the goat. I got them on sale, 370lb set for $300. When they showed up one had a minor chip in it. Called and complained to Walmart and the took a discount off of the whole set, after tax it was $275! $0.75/per pound! Unlike OP, I actually like the look and color coding but that's coming from rusty dinky metal plates from the 80s lol. Sure premium plates are probably better, but these get the job done. Love the vinyl stickers OP!”
“My advice: If you have a strict budget, monitor Woot.com for Signature Fitness or Everyday Essentials bumpers, color or black, and buy them as they come up for $0.50 a pound with free shipping. They smell like death at first, but that goes away after a few weeks. If you don’t have a strict budget, any major brand (Rogue, Rep, Fringe Sport, Bells of Steel) budget bumpers in a basic set of 25’s and 45’s. Skip the 35’s unless Olympic weightlifting. Get change plates of 2 pairs of 10 pounds, 1 pair of 5 pounds, and 1 pair of 2.5 pounds. Add pairs of 45’s after that as earned.”
