Best praise vs top criticism for Enlightened Equipment Accomplice
“My husband and I have exclusively used a 20° EE Accomplice in colder weather since like 2016. We really like it. To touch on your bullet points - I’m only 5’2 and my husband is 5’9. The only time I’ve ever felt cold using it was in the Smokies (we’re currently on an AT thru hike and we came through GSMNP in early April and had a decent amount of snow and nights in the 20s) and it was mostly my lower back/butt that got cold when I was sleeping on my side. I draped my puffy jacket over that area and it helped a ton. My feet have never felt cold but I also use EE booties if it’s going to be really cold. I tend to run warmer than my husband and throwing out a leg or two helps cool me off. I am a total rotisserie sleeper (and I’ve been told I also steal blankets…😬) and we’ve never had issues with it. We didn’t get a wide width quilt either, just the regular size. We have separate themarest neoair pads that we strap together with the pairing straps/clip system from EE. I know sharing a quilt isn’t for everyone but we love it in cooler weather. We have separate 50° summer quilts though. Once we start to get sticky and gross sharing a quilt isn’t my favorite.”
“We use 25" pads, and the tent is 50" wide (and tapers from there). The quilts are 54-60" depending on whether you get regular or wide, etc. So (in my head...it drapes slightly) The accomplice is 10 feet wide at its widest, and getting into a small 2P tent when its 80F still is awful...there's so much down, we cant avoid it. Meanwhile, at 30F the accomplice is amazing.”
