Best praise vs top criticism for Endgame Gear XM1
“Was kicking myself for missing out on the purple frost OP1, been rocking an OG XM1 since they were first released. Saw this past week that they were available on Amazon for a discount due to Black Friday, couldn't say no. Excited to try out the slightly smaller shape as someone with similarly sized hands as you (18.5x10cm).”
“The problem is the entire market has shifted; low weight, fancy sounding materials, high polling rate, the newest clicks, and faster sensors are the face of innovation for gaming mice currently, but the thing is, the value they bring with each new model or iteration is too diminishing to create any interest or actual leaps in the industry. Shape is king, but when most of the companies in this industry are just copy pasting the xm1 or gpx or whatever shapes most desired, that leaves very little for company to create a ‘new’ product, and they generally just go for: -internals (which has honestly peaked for time being) - weight (which if you’re gonna be making lighter than Pulsar or G-Wolves or finalmouse, you’ll need to sacrifice build quality) Companies should be experimenting and designing new shapes to cater to grips, just like the gpw did 6-7 years ago, and it’s disappointing to see that that a lot of brands are just going the money hungry route.”
