Best praise vs top criticism for Endgame Gear OP1we
“1. Good pricing, specially for Europeans. I can get XM2WE and OP1WE loaclly for 70 EUR 2. One of the best coatings 3. Top tier shapes 4. Good build quality, good click tensioning, good side buttons overall solid products.”
“Pics of crater burned into desk or it didn’t happen (I’d still be skeptical) Does the OP1WE dongle have some sort of translucent white plastic on the end, and that’s melted? Why does it look like hot glue? It’s one thing for a lithium battery in a mouse to overheat and catch fire. If it’s physically defective or damaged, theres plenty of stored volatile energy that could quickly discharge into enough heat to start melting things. It’s another thing entirely for the components in a wireless dongle to somehow create enough waste heat to melt plastic, even if it is defective - the USB bus just can’t provide enough energy, with the only exception being things like USB-C PD. USB-C PD requires a handshake between the port and device, and there’s no way for the dongle to accidentally perform the handshake, pull 48V and blow itself up. Just doesn’t happen.”
