Best praise vs top criticism for Criterion Quantum
“This! I for example don't like how some of the more "slicker" fabrics feel against skin. The Pertex Quantum Taffeta, which Katabatic uses, is a great, soft , liner fabric for great next-to-skin feel. One of the reasons I love my Palisade.”
“Owner of X-lite 400 here. I'm toasty warm in that bag. It's rated comfort -1C but I slept at -4C and 95% humidity with not even putting on my puffy jacket, and I was fine. My advice: get the pertex quantum pro outer shell or hydrophobic down (or both). Humidity can be an issue on longer trips affecting the loft. The loft of that bag, and Cumulus down products in general, is massive. I also got a winter custom-made sleeping bag from them to replace the meh Sea to Summit Spark IV. It has like 30% more loft for a similar comfort temperature rating. Only thing I don't like is the zipper on Cumulus, but that's just a minor inconvenience.”
