“# Top Picks for Clarity & Consistency * **Sibarist B3 wave:** This is my top recommendation for achieving the cleanest, most consistent cups. If you brew expensive coffee it can offset the price per filter. * **Orea wave filters:** A strong second. They offer excellent quality and are more cost-effective than April or Sibarist filters, making them a great daily driver. * **April wave filters / Origami wave:** These are comparable to Orea Wave in performance. Aprils are about 2x the price of Orea, while Origami is half the price of Orea, but at least in Europe Origami is not readily available yet. I have not tested Orea wave vs Origami wave head to head, but I suppose Orea would win. Origami is probably going to dethrone Kalita the same way as Cafec T90/Abaca did Hario filters in V60. # Other Options & Considerations * **Kalita 185 :** I generally advise against these. They can lead to inconsistent results and astringency. While the **Kalita 155** is slightly better and can work, it still doesn't match the clarity of Orea or Sibarist. * **Fellow Stagg X wave filters:** Better than Kalita or Timemore, but not as good as Orea. * **Sibarist Fast wave:** Avoid these unless you have a hybrid dripper; they're too fast and cause a ton of bypass. In general go for no-bypass filters with Sibarist Fast papers. * **Timemore B75 wave :** Similar to Kalita 155 in performance, usable for single cups, but a bit rough, filters a bit more oils, mellows out the cup * **Solo wave**: Too thin, horrible workflow as the collapse all the time, lets too much oils and fines through No experience * **xBloom wave:** If you have them available worth a shot, certainly better quality than Kalita. * **Sworks wave**: Probably same tier as xBloom”
