“I would definitely *not* do Birkenstocks. I think your feet would be in open revolution against the rest of your body by the middle of Day 2, if not the end of Day 1. I would recommend bringing 2 of your comfiest sneakers and rotating daily so your feet get a break. I've alternated between this pair of weather-resistant [Nike Pegasus 35](https://stockx.com/nike-air-zoom-pegasus-35-shield-wet-fly?country=US&currencyCode=USD&size-conversion=us+m&size=9.5) and a pair of [Nike Killshot 2s](https://www.nike.com/t/killshot-2-leather-mens-shoes-72M7D1/432997-107?nikemt=true&cp=98549970627_search_--x-20451925136---c-10107447-00883153780483&dplnk=member&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwna6_BhCbARIsALId2Z2-FA-ZduwmqvHvU-H1KjQ3VsQvj5-s3c8w3lqKcnwl8Sreo9qeTl4aAlfuEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds).
