Viofo A129 Pro Duo vs Wolfbox G900

“I just dumped the A129 Pro Duo a a while back. Recording in 4K during the day and the damn thing would overheat and shut down. Got it replaced and the replacement unit did so as well. Support told me to stop recording in 4k to avoid overheating. That is ridiculous if it's a feature of the camera. I am not talking the dog days of summer either.......I'm talking mild 85-90 degree days even when not in direct sunlight (my windshield has a tint strip on it which keeps the camera body out of the sun). “ >I have tried nearly everything. There is no way for you to pull the footage off of the wolfbox camera and view it on Apple ios. On the unit I tested the included 64GB card came formatted fat32, and worked for me out of the box with the mac I was using though I needed to use VLC to play the files. Manual indicates the same format is used on the G850. I'd format the original card in the cam, record and review on the mirror cam, reboot and review again, then power it off and remove the SD to try in the mac again. This will insure there is something on the card, and that the card is not corrupted on removal. Wolfbox has models with WiFi, which you can connect to directly using the ios app, but getting a cheap android table or used laptop and using wifi and icloud to transfer the files is likely your lowest cost and hassle option. Unclear what would happen if you tried to connect directly to the USB c.”
