I owned this lens once before; after some gear shuffling I ended up back with one for my A7CR. I also have the Samyang 24/1.8. My A7CR is replacing an A7Cii. For whatever inexplicable reasons, I preferred the look of the Samyang on my A7Cii but am really enjoying the Sony on the A7CR. The size advantage is the main factor (the Samyang has f1.8 but I rarely shoot that open), but I find the Sony pleasantly sharp, and the handling is super convenient for a lens that small. I shoot a lot in APS-C, or will crop extensively in post, and compared to my Zeiss 35/2.8 I can’t say I notice any additional distortion or drop in quality.

I own an A6300 and an A6700. Both are fantastic crop-sensor cameras. I'm comfortable with APS-C, which is why I chose the A6700 for its AI features, larger battery, tilting screen, etc. Do you really need those features? Or do you think you're already getting good results with your current equipment? I've been a photographer for five years, and I've realized that new cameras usually offer more tools, but if you don't know how to use them effectively, they're useless, and you're better off saving your money. Don't be swayed by what others have; choose what you need, what you feel most comfortable with, and what you truly believe will make a significant leap forward.
