Sony a6600 vs Sony ZV-E10

“That 200-600 is a solid lens. I use it too. But you're right to struggle, and it's not you. You're fighting the A6600's AF. It's just not as fast as the newer bodies for BIF. That's the honest reality. Two things to try: 1. That lens *needs* sunlight. At f/6.3, the AF hunts like crazy on dark days. 2. Don't use "Wide" focus. It's just guessing. Try **Tracking: Expand Spot**. Lock onto the bird *before* it moves. It gives the camera a fighting chance. And don't believe the hype you see online. My keeper rate is tiny. I'll shoot 300+ photos to get maybe 30 "keepers." That's just the grind.”

“I just made the jump from the ZV-E10 to the A6700 myself and the viewfinder was the main reason. I found it impossible to judge focus and exposure precisely on the display of the ZV-E10 before taking the shot, even with all the assist features. The viewfinder on the A6700 is good, it does everything I need it to do. I'm sure there are better viewfinders on full frame bodies, but that's irrelevant, because Sony doesn't offer them on APS-C. Between the EVF, the improved AF, and the IBIS, I am taking way more shots that are sharp with focus exactly where I want it. I have zero regrets that I went for the A6700. I also have an A6000 that I use with the viltrox chip lens as everyday carry in my jacket pocket. The viewfinder on that is more frustrating. It's just not sharp / high res enough, and it's too small.”
