Samsung HW-Q990D vs Sonos Arc

“My Q990D bricked after the update. After contacted Sumsung (Thailand) they sent to guys for the repair. They already knew what was going on with the update and brought a box with a new pcb inside. No questions, they didn't try anything, they opened the soundbar and replaced the pcb! I was told to wait at least a month before trying to update and to turn off automatic updates. Took them 10 minutes, and the soundbar was properly working again.”

“The Sonos System will not outperform dedicated speakers for each of the channels. These type of systems try to replicate dedicated speakers by bouncing the sound off of the ceiling. Even under the most optimal conditions (a flat, non vaulted ceiling that bounces sound perfectly), a very basic dedicated speakers system will still outperform the Sonos. I would only recommend a sound bar like the Sonos if you are extremely tight on space or can't compromise on aesthetics. Since you already invested in a very good projector and large screen - the Sonos should not even be considered at this point.”
