Q990c would struggle in this open space room - it really benefits from sound bouncing off the walls, but many drivers would simply shoot into open air. It would also not be able to present a wider soundstage upfront to match your 150’’ projector screen.”

The Samsung is amazing value at its price, but the Sonos set just sounds cleaner and gets to high volumes without straining. It doesn’t ever feel harsh or overworked. I would say for its money - Sonos is 3 to 4 times more expensive but is NOT 3-4 times better, but there is a difference in quality for price. Both are terrific - and get what your budget allows - would you agree?”
