Samsung HW-Q930D vs Sony HT-A7000

“I’m gonna share how I handled it with my Q930D. I’m blessed with an apartment isolated with concrete between units. I warned both my neighbours downstairs and to the side about me getting a new home theater, waited for a friday evening when they weren’t busy and everything was quiet. Then I calibrated the whole thing and played a few tests scenes, some PS5’s Returnal and some electronic music (repetitive bass). I went over and asked if they heard anything, turned it down a notch until they said they could not (75db) and called it a day. Now I know at what volume I can safely use it even if it’s 2 AM. I did ask again just to be sure because I do watch movies and play games late at night.”

“I've had a massive 9.2 system with dual SVS subs, 110" 4k projector. I recently simplified to an 85" Sony 4k tv and HT-A7000 with RS rears and dual subs. It's so close to my old system that i'lll never go back. And it actually has a better sound bubble. Way more floor space, wires under control, single remote. If I wanna upgrade, just move it to another room or sell it.”
