People having a right go at you here in the comments. If it works for you, then it works for you. If not, then your dissatisfaction is part of your education on the matter. My first soundbar, a Hisense, was initially satisfactory but as time went on, I was increasingly dissatisfied to the point where I got a Q800d and I've been happy ever since Sometimes the first time works out, sometimes you need to get burnt so that you learn

My Q800D is affected by this. It powers on and says it's connecting to HDMI ARC over and over again. It then stops and is unresponsive to the controls on the soundbar and the remote with no audio coming from it.. Spoke to Samsung, they want me to take it to a repair shop, not ideal having to haul a massive soundbar around..

Best praise vs top criticism for Sonos Beam (Gen 2)

Sonos Beam would fit, but if you have it recessed at all the side firing speakers are going to bounce off the insides and sound might feel like it's coming from where it shouldn't be. It's about 28" wide so it would only have 2 inches on each side to fire the sound sideway - not sure how good it would sound. But it would be better than the TV speakers alone. and I think it's currently on sale.

I started with the Beam 2 + Sub Mini, was very underwhelming & didn't feel near worth the price. I sold the Beam & bought 1 Era 100 to try with the mindset to eventually add the Arc. I was much more impressed by the Era 100 so I bought another one to make a pair. So while I saved & waited for an open box deal on the Arc, I just went with the Era 100's in stereo + the sub mini. Awesome setup although more problems came with 1 Era sometimes dropping, was relatively easy to fix tho so I wasn't too mad. Eventually I ended up grabbing the Arc. It did sound quite good, but it didn't blow me away like the price would suggest. & The connection issues REALLLLLLY started getting worse to the point the system was more of a headache than anything. Having to unplug everything & redo the system piece by piece, & sometimes multiple times cause either the surrounds wouldn't pick up, or the Sub couldn't be found. Absolute fucking headache! If my current self could go back & tell myself all the problems I'd have when I bought it, I would've NEVER touched it to begin with no matter how curious I got (I really only bought Sonos cause of so much hype around them). I'd buy Bose, Samsung, or my current Klipsch Flexus system again over Sonos all day long! Until I read next to nobody has issues, then MAYBE I'd consider Sonos again, but there's definitely better stuff out there for the price.
